  Allow upload and download files. This will help users when migrating from other sites, they can upload the zip file and then unzip it

  Yes file compression would be great. I just went through moving a ton of files, sftp is just too slow. when you are talking a WP uploads folder with perhaps 1-2 images it takes forever, if we had the ability to compress it and uncompress it would make life much easier and the work would be done quicker.

  This is a must! Not very convenient to have to fire up FTP every time.

  We need the zip and unzip features on the file manager, it's just toooooo simple now

  Anything happening? SFTP doesn't work and I haven't an hour to spend to sort it.
