Ability to add Let's Encrypt SSL to "test" URL's

3 votes

On some platforms you can install Let's Encrypt certificates on test domains as well as "live" URLs's, and when it comes time to go "live" with a "valid domain" you just remove the old Let's Encrypt certificate and issue a new one for the "valid" URL.

There are WordPress plugins that require SSL, and building sites on a test URL, and then just changing the URL when it is time to go live is a far better solution than using "sub-domains" for the new build.
